The delicious pastries, the relaxing atmosphere and the brilliant service are especially worthy of praise, and this afternoon tea lives up to its reputation for being the best in hamburg. I have long used a blend of lapsang souchong and earl grey, because i like the smokey/flowery. This tea is a blend from different regions.

Review of high tea only: The afternoon tea team went behind the scones to talk to the royal garden’s head pastry chef, radoslav georgiev, and get an insight into their queen victoria themed afternoon tea. The service is barely satisfactory.

Positives were few and stated above. The british tradition of enjoying a blend of strong black teas at breakfast goes back centuries. Afternoon tea in the queens room.
